6/1960 Tadashi Doi, the late Chairman, establishes Kyoto-Daiichi-Kagaku (KDK) Corporation as a sole proprietorships.

KDK is a factory to cooperate with Shimadzu Corporation, then, the development of the
Infrared, Visible, UV and X-ray detector for the analysis and manufacture were begun. And, it
succeeded in the development of the artificial crystal for Infrared detector.

9/1963 KDK became a corporation as an incorporated company.

Business was expanded into the field such as clinical chemistry, water pollution analysis,
HPLC for the industry.

11/1971 The cooperation section of the Shimadzu Corporation was another
company, and it established a Kyoto-Daiich-Kaken Corporation.

6/1976 KDK combined Kyoto-Daiich-Kaken corporation,and made it manufactured the precise part of our company development goods.

11/1992 The cooperation section of the Shimadzu Corporation was separated,
and it established OPTO SCIENCE Limited Liability Companies.
